"Client education and comfort are my focus. My clients are partners in the process and feel supported and heard along the way, with no surprises when the market fluctuates up or down."

Welcome and thank you for stopping to learn about me.  My name is Michele Berson I live in California with two amazing dogs; my Havanese, Bernie, and long-haired German Shepherd, Goldie.  My son is a young adult pursuing his dreams whom I love with all my heart.

My journey began after graduating from UCLA with a BA in Economics.  I loved the study of economics (still do) and was ready to take on the world.  It was the generation of the brat pack kids in the movie St. Elmo’s Fire.

Since then I have learned that I really am a financial geek.  I enjoy spending my off-hours reading and listen to anything about economics, finance, investments & financial planning.

My training began in banking as I entered an extensive management training program outlining how to run a major US bank.  After the management training, I began working with large US corporations (usually public firms trading on the US Stock Exchange).  As their banker, I helped them with cash flow needs, loans, and/or large lines of credit.

I concluded what I needed to learn about the liability side and financial health of corporations and high net worth clients.  I turned my attention to the assets side of a client's balance sheet.  I became a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) when this industry was just a beginning.  The CFP designation requires annually taking approved courses for continuing education.  It surprised me when the material never changed or evolved.  There was nothing new to learn from the coursework.  I realized how low the bar was to call yourself a 'financial advisor'.  I dropped the designation as a CFP.  I felt my experience and background were more important when choosing an advisor.

Helping you navigate to create your financial security is the reason I founded Berson Money Management.  My preferred role is one as a coach, mentor, teacher versus consultant.

I am happy and thankful to be able to do what I love and love what I do. I enjoy supporting you in your financial journey and I hope that you join me on this exciting journey to create financial security in a changing world.

COVID-19 from a financial standpoint - is unprecedented in this lifetime.  How we deal with finances is very important.  That is why I believe that more than ever you need a trusted partner to help you maneuver through and keep you financially healthy.
